Holiday Card Workshop 2013 Class Wrap Up

I Love the way this card and technique came out, especially after the 4th time.  The only reason why I had to try it so many times was the tape to mask the edges....it kept ripping the paper as I peeled it off.  Then when I finally got the hang of it, my embossing power didn't stick, so I had to do it again......I don't plan to make another one like this, so my Nephew will be the one and only.

I really wanted to try the Layered Die Cut Inlay shown by Jennifer, but when I pulled out the Die's I wanted to use they were attached and I couldn't pull them apart to Layer them.  What a bummer.....

So I decided to use my Snowman Die and use the Technique shown by Laurie Willison, Unique Die Cut folds.  Create a flap behind your Die Cut to reveal a special message.

Cruzin'

I love the way this card came out.  I used My Creative Times new Cloud background stamp on White cardstock and the Die set to make the 3D effect.  I just used a piece of scrap black paper for the road and used a white gel pen to draw the dotted line.

This card is a Thank You for our "Tour Guide" that drove us around Orange County California touring all the famous spots.  I don't know about you but I'm sure glad I do not live in that area, the traffic is horrendous.......I believe we spent more time in traffic our three days then we did anything else. (At least that's what if felt like)

Ready for some Fishin'

This card is so perfect for my Dad's Birthday that's coming up in September.  I have been so busy with my new job and other things that Life brings.  It's been a while since I have made any cards.  My parents were upset that I purchased cards for Mother's day and Father Day this year.  I decided I better come up with something special for their birthdays.

I did see this cut on another Blog a while back and knew that it would be perfect and My Creative Times new Cartoon Cloud background stamp was perfect.

Happy Mother's Day!

I had such a Wonderful Mother's Day, it was so relaxing and spent the entire day with my husband and boys.  I do not live near my Mother so days like these are pretty hard, but she will be here in just a few days to visit for my Son's High School Graduation.  I am so lucking forward the my parents visit.  Hopefully I can keep them entertained and give my Mom some card making tips.

These are my cards I made this year for Mother's Day, I did take the easy route this year because I have such limited time lately. I tried out the New fabric paper by DCWV, I love how the cards came out using it and it feels so neat.  Enjoy!

Imagine-Joy Fold Card

This card is my first attempt at using my Imagine.  I told myself I was not going to get one, but I kept thinking about it knowing that Walmart was going to have them for only 180.00 on Black Friday.  That's such an awesome deal.  Well I had to work on Friday, so I said no big deal.  Then Saturday came along and I kept thinking about it but really didn't want to spend the money so close to Christmas.  Then comes along Sunday...................I had to run out to do some shopping so I went to Walmart instead of my normal Target just to see if they even had any left.  You guessed it, they actually had two of them.  Guess it was meant to be.

Not sure why I waited so long to use it because I had so much fun yesterday January 28th (yes, two months later) testing it out.  So here you are.........

I got the idea for this fold card from Cardz TV, It was very different so I thought I would try it out.
